A young girl with blonde hair that reaches down to her neck, lays down in a prone position on the roof of a hotel in east Africa, Dragunov SVD sniper rifle in hand, taking aim. She finds her target... and fires, hitting her target, killing him instantly. The girl's name is Rico.

In Academy City, a dark, spikey-haired boy in his mid teens holds his left hand infront of his face subconsiously, as if to defend himself. The boy was having a dream.

At a base in east Africa, a masculine man who looks to be in his early thirties, does the same thing. Clearly having the same dream as the boy in Academy City.

While this was happening, a squad of Black Hawk utility helos were on a mission. "Nomad 6-2, cover the flank." a voice called out on the radio, clearly meant for one of the helicopter pilots. The voice belongs to Doug Robinson, callsign 'D-Ray' "RPGs!" one of the chopper crewmembers, apparantly a gunner, exclaimed. "Fire!" the pilot responded. Just as he said this, the gunner fired his M134 Minigun at an enemy vehicle, destroying it instantly. Just then something caught the eye of the gunner, "What's that?"

Before he could get an answer, a massive air burst explosion caught the gunner and the rest of Nomad 62 off guard.

Just then, the young man and the teen simultaneously awoke with a start, even though these two people were in two different places on the globe.

"What was that dream? It wasn't about me." the teen thought to himself. The teen's name is Touma Kamijou.

"I saw my death in my dreams...." the young man said. His name is Colonel William Bishop of the NATO 108th Task Force.

Outside on the base, Bishop was walking slowly, thinking heavily about the dream he had. "Hey Colonel. You look like you saw a ghost." Bishop's wingman, José Gutierrez, callsign "Guts".

"Just a dream." Bishop responded as confidently as possible. Just then, the two of them saw the crew of Nomad 62 come out on stretchers. "What happened here?" Bishop asked. "D-Ray's flight took a hit."

Jean, Rico's handler enters the SWA's middle east headquarters, which also serves as a safe house. There he finds Rico and Triela conversing with each other.

Both Bishop and Guts enter the base's HQ. There they find Janice Rehl. She is both a bomber pilot and an AC-130 pilot.

"Fighter escort is standard procedure, General Stagleishov. You know that. NATO policy." Pierre La Pointe, commander of the 108th Task Force, told General Ivan Stagleishov of the Russian Air Force. "We are Russians, General La Pointe, not NATO." Ivan replied.

Ivan looks down the hall towards Bishop, Guts, and Janice, and walks away with disapproval.

Misaka Mikoto eyes the skyline of Academy City, with suspicion.

A large group of F-16C Fighting Falcons of the U.S. Air Force and Dassault Mirage 2000-5s of the Armée de l'Air (French Air Force) taxi to and from the runway. Many of which are scrambling to take off. What complicated things was a Boeing KC-10 Extender tanker crash lands on the runway.

"Magic to Task Force 108, proceed to engage remaining targets." AWACS "Magic" called out.

"Crew, attack as soon as you I.D. the target. Engage." Janice ordered toward the AC-130 crew. As soon as she gives the order, the crew of the Spooky begins firing at enemy targets, while at the same time, supporting ground troops in their advance.

"Magic to all aircraft, continue to engage." Magic ordered.

An AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopter, the lead unit of Shooter squad, was firing on an enemy vehicle convoy, when all of a sudden, a massive explosion, the same type as the one that got D-Ray's flight of choppers, went off. Doug's chopper was blown backwards by several yards. "Jesus. Their weapon again."

"D-Ray, what the hell happened?" one of the base personnel asked.

"Another of those explosions. And they had Russians with them. Advisors maybe." Doug replied.

"Russians?" Janice chimed in, disturbed.

"That's right. Mercenaries." Shooter 2 responded.

"His name is Markov. And he is deadly." La Pointe briefed everyone in the room. On the monitor, a mugshot of a 41 year old Russian appeared on the screen behind La Pointe.

"So that's Markov..." Triela said to herself as the briefing was being fed into the SWA's briefing room via video link.

"Markov. I'd recognize him anywhere." Major Illich of the Russian Air Force chimed in.

"You know him that well?" Bishop asked Illich.

"I know him, Colonel. I flew with him." Illich replied.

Bishop flies a Eurofighter Typhoon, with the insignia of the German Luftwaffe emblazoned on the fighter, he fires his missiles at a MiG-29 Fulcrum, destroying it instantly.

"Hence the nickname 'Akula', or shark." La Pointe continued, with an image of a white and black Sukhoi Su-35S Super Flanker adorned with a shark's mouth showed on the screen behind him.

Just after Bishop destroys the MiG, the Su-35 that La Pointe briefed had appeared. "It's him!" Guts, in Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet alerted Bishop. "I have him." Bishop responded, and goes in persuit.

"Colonel Bishop, the pleasure of speaking directly to you." Markov said, on the 108th TF's frequency. Markov then pulls a Pugachev's Cobra, and then persues Bishop.

"Warwolf 1's taking hits!" Guts advised, doing his best to stay on Markov's tail. He then sees something that would be considered unthinkable, Markov fires an Archer heat-seeking missile at Bishop's Typhoon. The missile impacts in the Typhoon's right engine.

Bishop evades the Sukhoi as much as he could to prevent Markov from finishing him off.

Rico fires her Baretta SCP-90 and Triela fires her H&K G3A3 alongside their handlers, all four of them being cornered by SRN terrorist forces.

An unknown group of people brief each other, each adorning the symbol of the Catholic Church, but at the same time, showing that they're more extremist than the Church.

General Ivan overlooking a situation at the NATO base turns away, showing that he is plotting something against the 108th Task Force.

Accelerator is introduced to the first of the Misaka Worst series clones.

"We have additional information." La Pointe informs the pilots in the briefing room.

In a flashback, on the ground, in a ruined city in the Balkans, someone looks up at a squadron of Northrop Grumman B-2A Spirits, the stealth bombers.

"Cruise missile on radar." an alert on the radio stated.

Cold Blooded

Markov faces a camera towards him and speeks in Russian.

"They call it 'Trinity.'" La Pointe continued, as images of the new weapon is projected onto the screen.

Markov drops the camera and stomps his foot on it.

=========================================

A cruise missile impacts its target. No doubt the missile is Trinity.

Touma and Bishop look on at the sights they see with determination.

"A nightmare I would never forget... That was my reality." The voices of Bishop and Touma being said.

An F-35B Lightning II takes off in a scramble against New Russian Federation aircraft, namely Sukhoi fighters and attackers.

Janice pilots a Boeing B-1R Lancer and brings it into a bombing run over a target. The bomb bay doors open, and the heavy bombs are released.

Bishop pilots a Lockheed Martin F-22A Raptor in a aerial duel against Markov who is in a Sukhoi PAK FA. Head-on, cannons blazing.
